The brand new Apple Watch version 7 comes now a little while after the iPhone’s newest release went on sale. Finally, pre-orders begin this Friday, October 8 but availability is scheduled a week after on the 15th (Friday).
The countries that have access to the pre-orders are: India, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Mexico, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Russia, South Korea, South Korea, and more.
In the update there are Two new watch faces, Contour Two and Contour – Modular Duo.
The new Series 7 watch brings a couple of major and minor improvements even over last year’s Series 6. Is it really worth the upgrade? Well this isn’t a product review but we can give you a little more information. The screen is 20% larger and the bezels are thinner (a classic apple move).
As well the display as been improved. The Always On Display mode is now 70% brighter (yay!). Apple claims that the watch is more durable, with glass that has been upgradeded to better resists cracks and damage. The casing is also now rated for IP6X dust-tight.
Battery life has not changed since the last irrieration saying at a decent 18 hours but the recharging is improved by 33%. In short it can power back to 80% in just 45 minutes. What we like it that apple has been able integrate a QWERTY keyboard with their screen real estate.
You can reserve one online or at an Apple Store starting this Friday at 12:00 PM UTC. You can trade in an older apple watch to reduce the price – only Apple Watches are accepted.
If you purchase directly from Apple, you can get $100 back by activating it on T-Mobile/Sprint or Verizon. The Apple Watch SE and Series 3 still exist at the sub $300 price range.
